About

Angus is a graphic designer and performing arts, events and touring contractor from New Zealand, living in Manchester, UK. He is currently the Head of Marketing & Communications at Band on the Wall.

Angus graduated from the University of Otago’s Department of Design Studies in 2010 with a Bachelor of Consumer and Applied Science. Angus spent the next two and a half years cutting his teeth as a graphic designer at Walsh & Beck, a full service marketing and PR agency in Dunedin, before putting his hand to marketing and design in the performing arts and events sector.

Angus has served as the Marketing & Communications Manager for Dunedin Arts Festival, Dunedin Fringe Festival and New Zealand International Science Festival, publicist for the Dunedin Midwinter Carnival, Marketing Manager for Auckland Arts Festival and Events and Logistics Manager for Whānau Mārama: New Zealand International Film Festival.

Angus was a founding board member and the Design and Marketing Manager of Arcade Theatre Company, which ran for four seasons from 2018-2021.

Angus was previously the bass player in indie-folk quintet The Broken Heartbreakers, and noise-pop quartet Asta Rangu. In 2017, Angus released a solo record, Of No Particular Significance.

Angus was also the producer and co-host of the History Bonanza radio show on Radio One 91FM in 2018 and 2019.
